HELP!!  Nothing works anymore.
I have Windows 7 Enterprise running on an HP 8540W. I installed AnyDVD and upon reboot, nothing seems to work. My My Computer icon now says "Computer (32 bit)" and my user folder says "User Files (32 bit)". i've booted into safe mode, ran system file checker. nothing. uninstalled AnyDVD. nothing. I can get a command prompt up. none of the control panel applets will work. IE won't work. no application will work. start button doesn't work. any body ever seen this? oh yeah, i also install Jabra PC Suite, but haven't unistalled that yet, but about too. don't think it's gonna make a difference. Thanks for help in advance!

Then you're fresh out of luck. Try recovering the system from the recovery DVDs or partition. That is usually the last resort solution. Please do not forget to select the best answer if it helps you! The Ultimate computer newbie guide since the discovery of spoon feeding! The Computer Manual dot Com
